The Lost Realm

smoke said it all way back in 2005. but sense then there have been a few updates as well. I think the fact that smoke is still here 3 years later says it all.

Long time veteran, short time commenting.



So basically, you have turn-based game, all browser based, so no downloads are necessary. Your options as what to do with your turns, or Mana, is to Battle either monsters, or other players, mine for assets, and pray for growth stats. Each of these affect how your player develops, either into a player killing machine, or fodder.



After this, you've got many towns you can join, and get involved with highly interactive wars. Take up arms, and engage in combat using your mana against other players.



Then, when all your mana is gone, there's a Message Board, and a Chatroom to discuss whatever, and meet other players until the reset, and Mana is restored.



However, when all's said and done, the game is only what you make of it. Command respect, and you'll have a large impact on the game. Or don't, and survive under the wings of others. The strategy you use to get to the top is completely yours.

I have been playing this game for just over a year now... so here is my review.

The game is rather simple to play, but takes a long time to master...

You basicly get the choice to fight, and kill everything you can to level quickly, you can become a minner and get yourself rich... learn magic to criple other people... or just max up your stats to become a super strong player.

I would strongly recomend this game to both new players of the turn based genre of gaming, and to those experienced.. The game with its simple interface, yet also maintaining a good level of skilled players can make it fun for new players to get a lot of experience, while trained pros can battle it out with the best of them all....
