As of this post, I have been living in the Star Wars Combine universe for about a decade. I was one of the first females to play this game and very possibly the last remaining active one. It's a lifestyle, although flexible. I disagree that it takes a substantial amount of RL time to play this game, but it does require a few hours per week rationed out at least every other day.
Agreed with Elias Grath, "This is no game, this is truly a life simulation."
Updating comment from Hopkins suggesting new members need a paid e-mail to sign up, that requirement was lifted sometime in 2008. Free e-mail subscribers may now -freely- play SWC!

this is a fun game if you like games like runescape with graphic appel then is not your game but if you are a star wars nerd then it would at least deserve the attention to try

This is not for the ppl who want instant gratification. This is no game, this is truly a life simulation. This is for those who are willing to devote a substantial amount of RL. This is one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had, you actually ARE living in the Star Wars universe. Be warned, combat has not been put in place yet, and still there are ppl who have been living this life for several years. I am so into this life that I tell ppl that it is my 2nd job.
Also, this is NOT SLOW, this simulation moves in REAL TIME, real time is not slow. You must be willing to take about a month to get used to the pace, but you will not regret it, trust me.

This game only allows you to join if you have an email address that you have to pay for. It will not accept Hotmail or yahoo addresses. It is frustrating that they make what seems like a very good game but then not allow you to join it cuz you would have to get an email address that you have to purchase.
